Job Description

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and Helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. Founded in 1933, the IRC offers lifesaving care and Life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee from war or disaster. IRC has been working in Ethiopia since 1999 and is implementing integrated, community-managed programs aimed at improving the quality of lives and recover of livelihood of disaster-affected population’s through promoting individual participation, strengthening institutions and emergency response.

Under the supervision of the Finance Officer, the finance assistant is responsible for preparation of government invoice reporting through the templet shared by inland revenue authority from the latest status up to March ,2021 and report for finance officer for review.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare government invoice reporting for all IRC transactions as per the templet given by inland revenue authority - Proper Documentation of payments (make sure that all documents are attached e.g. Delivery, Cash Receipt, Delegation letter, cheque copy, and etc.) - Filling (Sequential arrangement and labeling of grant files, ledgers, balance sheets for Addis Ababa & field offices documents) - Stamping (Make sure that all payments have paid stamp) - Photocopying and scanning of documents (copying documents whenever there is a need) - Assist in arranging finance documents during IRC's Internal /external auditing - Assist the finance Assistant in collecting advices, checks and statements from the bank - Assisting all the finance team as required. - VAT tracking for partners. - Assisting all the finance team as required - Updating sub-grant tracking sheet. - Preparing document for cash transfer made to partners.

Qualifications

- Diploma accounting with 1 year or Degree in accounting with zero year experience. - Knowledge in operating excel & word is advantageous. - The candidate shall have good communication skill. - S/he must be committed and willing to works under stress environment and should perform tasks independently.
