The whole toolbox is designed to empower youth in the region with practical and essential knowledge and skills accessing the labour markets, entrepreneurship, & youth advocacy and participation in the public policymaking process, especially on issues of youth employment & skills development. In addition, the consultant will also organize and facilitate training workshops around the toolkit. Please find the detailed description of the position in the attached TOR. Long Description ---------------- **Activity Context** The activity intends to tackle the issue of youth employment through three essential areas of actions: 1. Support to key national stakeholders in strengthening to anticipate and match skills and jobs in developing related technical capacities and fostering an inclusive national dialogue on future skills needed and related skills development and employment policy planning; 2. Empowerment of youth organizations’ capacities with adequate skills and knowledge to be active stakeholders in the policy dialogue with institutional stakeholders and advocate for an increased role of youth in policy design; and 3. Support youth-led national communication campaigns to encourage youth Long Description ---------------- **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Accountability (C) Communication (C) Innovation (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) Teamwork (C) Professionalism (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- **Education**: An advanced relevant graduate degree, in Business administration/management, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics or a related discipline, TVET related subject, education or any other relevant area from a reputed university **Experience** \- Extensive experience in the field of entrepreneurship education/life & work skills/learning in Technical Vocational Education and Training, and youth engagement \- 6 years minimum experience in following fields, including but not limited to TVET programs, entrepreneurial education, youth advocacy and engagement, career guidance, & learning and services in the Arab region or elsewhere, and demonstrated experience in conducting Training of Trainers, capacity development and training for youth, analysis & reporting, business, including techniques in participatory research, surveys, data collection & analysis \- Experience in development & delivery of Training materials and Toolkits on employment/ youth advocacy & engagement/entrepreneurship education, training or learning \- Know-how of conducting face to face & online related training of trainers \- Strong background & experience in skills development & the engagement of the private sector in education \- Extensive experience in market & business researches, business skills development & entrepreneurship trainings \- Knowledge of and experience on working with government ministries, UN system, private sector & development agencies/partners, working with major stakeholders at national and international level in education & skills development, will add value \- Experience with multi-disciplinary teams - Long Description ---------------- **Competencies** ---------------- \- Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to clearly present findings and drawing practical conclusions and recommendations \- Developing & conducting capacity development & training in related to Entrepreneurship training \- Should also have strong supervisory and research skills, having ability to conduct research and produce analysis, with strong analytical & synthesis skills \- Capable of analyzing labour market &or economic data and producing reports \- Working with multi-disciplinary teams, preferable in the Arab region \- Having extensive knowledge of the region & its knowledge-related challenges and priorities \- Working independently & achieve quality results with limited supervision and within tight schedules \- Strong communication skills \- Possessing advanced computer application skills, data management, reporting & presentation skills are essential for the functions of the job **DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- **Language** - Fluency in written and spoken Arabic & English is required - Excellent drafting and writing skills with a sound publishing record both in English & Arabic **BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS** ----------------------------- **Rename the “BENEFITS AND ENTITLEMENTS****”** **title to “APPLICATION PROCESS****”****, and use additional sections if required to add other relevant information.** **Otherwise you can delete this section.** **SELECTION AND RECRUITMENT PROCESS** ------------------------------------- Please note that all candidates must complete an on-line application and provide complete and accurate information.
