Qualifications

Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in one of the following Rural sociology/rural Studies, Developmental studies, Agriculture/Agricultural Economics, anthropology

Work Experience:

At least 2 years implementing economic recovery, livelihood, and food security programming in either a national or International NGO. Experience in CVA programming for food security, Vocational and agribusiness development programming, and knowledge of basic livelihood programming approach in insecure contexts. Candidate should have good stakeholder management and community mobilization skills.

Demonstrated Technical Skills:

- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with communities and stakeholders. - Good report writing skills. - Ability to work with budgets and facilitate procurement of program supplies - Good understanding of CVA programming and Minimum Economic Recovery Standards (MERS)

Demonstrated Managerial/Leadership Competencies:

- All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies. - Good team management skills - Ability to coach and supervise

Languages:

Fluency in English. Local languages e.g. Hausa, Kanuri are an asset.

Computer/Other Tech Requirements:

Full professional competency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Add position-specific (e.g. accounting software, statistical software, etc.).

Ability to Travel: 20% of the time if applicable
