Scope of Work: ------------------

The IRC is looking for a hard-working and positive nature to enroll in this position. The ERD Assistant be responsible for supporting ERD Officer during the implementation projects targeting food security reduction through assistance distribution, engagement & mobilization sessions for awareness raising and encouraging communities’ participation, building good relations with all stockholders, supporting all ERD programs in Al-Dhale'e and Lahj governorate.

Job Summary ---------------

The ERD officer is field-level and responsible for implementing cash and voucher programming delivered through a market-based approach. The ERD officer will spend most of their time in the field, prioritizing meetings with local communities, identifying target communities, and establishing relationships with community leaders taking part in ERD assessments and studies. She, he, will be based in the Aden office and will work closely with the Health, WASH, Nutrition, and Protection, WPE, Finance, Supply Chain, and wider ERD program to implement program activities.

Position Reports to ERD Manager.

The position directly manages the ERD assistant.

Responsibilities: ---------------------

- Coordinate and lead the clients' selection and distribution of CVA. - Responsible for selecting and verifying project beneficiaries in coordination with relief committees and local authorities and using selection criteria. - Ensure a realistic project implementation plan and develop project implementation tools. - Actively engage and support to the development of community sensitization activities on selection criteria, cash redemption process, and feedback mechanism. - Coordinate cash distributions considering the safety and security of staff engaged and beneficiaries and in a dignified manner for beneficiaries. - Conduct field visits to project sites and meet with community leaders to select specific vulnerable locations for targeting and ensure a conducive community mobilization system. - Provide advice and support to project beneficiaries through the hotline or on the spot and ensure the follow-up of all cases referred to the department through the beneficiary feedback mechanism. - Ability and willingness to spectacularly change work practices and hours and work with incoming emergency teams in the event of a crisis or emergency. - Lead the assessment study at the field level and conduct the data collection for ERD research. - Coordinate the focus group discussion.

Coordination and representation: ------------------------------------

- Maintain supportive and constructive relations with partner organizations, local authorities, and humanitarian actors. - Attend field-level meetings when required and provide detailed reports to the program manager if required. - Close coordination with Food Security & Agriculture (FSAC) cluster and Cash & Market working group (CMWG).

Other duties: -----------------

- The supervisor assigned other duties to enable the implementation of the IRC programs. - Raise Purchase requests as and when required. - Work constructively within the team and take the initiative on new tasks. - Promptly report concerns or incidents to the IRC management and liaise with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain and follow the ERD program's security environment. - Coordinate with the M&E staff and the wider ERD team as necessary to identify program quality issues. - Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to perform successfully in their positions.

Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities)

- four years overall with two years of proven experience in fieldwork and relevant fields. - Diploma Degree in social work or related field. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Good written and spoken English and Arabic skills. - Previous experience in Food/cash voucher programming. - Excellent computer skills in MS-excel sheets. - Ability to work with multi-task and meet deadlines, and effectively within a team.
