This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.

Description of task

Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Enterprise Risk Management Officer or her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV should have the following qualifications/requirements:

  • Coordinate audit, evaluation, review and stakeholder reporting responses across divisions, including the management of response systems and quarterly reviews for various internal and external auditing bodies.
  • Remediation and response planning for Internal Controls, including the issuance of the annual Statement of Internal Control (SIC).
  • Project support for the implementation of an Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including period risk assessments, which involve the identification, description, analysis and estimation of corporate risks and the design of a tailored UNEP Risk Universe and Dashboard.
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of Risk Treatment and Response plans defined for high priority corporate risks.
  • Assist the ERM/IC Officer on external risk reporting to stakeholders and assist in the preparation and finalization of various risk tools and visualizations.
  • Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Educational additional comments

Bachelor’s degree in area related to business or public administration, management, finance or accounting;

Experience remark

  • 2 years relevant work experience
  • Strong editing, writing, reporting, analytical and evaluation skills;
  • Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
  • Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
  • Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
  • Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
  • Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded;
  • Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat DC, social media, and others).
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;

Language skills

  • English(Mandatory), Level - Fluent
