Drupal Consultant
Result of Service - Participate in design discussions and code reviews for components developed by project teams; - Gain an understanding of existing applications to better anticipate, assess, troubleshoot, mitigate and prevent issues; - Analyze and resolve system problems and present clear, comprehensive recommendations; - User training to new users and retraining to existing users on new functionalities. - Maintenance of existing Drupal systems
Work Location The consultant will work remotely.
Expected duration Contract is from 01 June 2022 to 31-December-2022 (7 month) Monthly payment of 2,550 USD is paid upon successful completion of assignments, end of each month.
Duties and Responsibilities The United Nations Office of Information and Communication Technology(OICT) manages several enterprise ICT Systems that are widely used by the UN Secretariat.
The position is part of the OICT/ESS The incumbent reports to and works under the supervision of the Project Manager
Under the supervision of the team lead, the incumbent's responsibilities are - Develop and maintain content management systems - Create test scenarios and test scripts for the new developments - Develop and apply patches; Maintain and upgrade the system to the latest standard versions - Ensure that the service provided adheres to the operational standards for quality and timeliness.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: University degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field. Experience: - A minimum of 4 years developing and maintaining Drupal websites including configuration of modules, custom module development and managing content; - Experience to draft project documentation and other reports as required - Experienced in system configuration design and web development skills - Strong organization and communication skills - Self-starter able to dive in, resolve ambiguity, and achieve results. Language: Fluency in English is required.
