<span style="font-size:12px"><strong>Organizational Setting</strong></span>

<span style="font-size:12px">The position is under FAO “Local Empowerment of Actors for Development (LEAD) Programme”. The project helps the local population in Lori and Tavush to play active role in inclusive, resilient and sustainable local development by strengthening mechanisms of partnership building, territorial cooperation, organizational and service development and creating better local governance through applying the principles and mechanisms of EU LEADER approach.</span>

<span style="font-size:12px"><strong>Reporting Lines</strong></span>

<span style="font-size:12px"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="line-height:115%">Under the general guidance of FAO Representative in Armenia and the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Driver/ Logistics Clerk is responsible for driving the staff and missions of FAO and UNJP/ARM/011/EC project and perform logistical other related duties as required. </span></span></span>

<span style="font-size:12px"><strong>Tasks and responsibilities</strong></span>

  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure provision of reliable and secure driving services by driving the project vehicle for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of project mail, documents and other items;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure that the project vehicle is at all times in a sound mechanical condition, roadworthy and in a presentable state outwardly and inwardly as well as MOSS compliant;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure proper day-to-day maintenance of the project vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangement for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.; </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure that the project vehicle is used solely and exclusively for official purposes. In this respect, keep a specific log book on board and record pertinent data regularly;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Coordinate the vehicle logistic needs and ensure cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs and provision of inputs for the preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Keep track of fuel consumption and verify it with the logbooks; </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure availability of all the required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure that all immediate actions required by FAO rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Maintain an accurate filing system and vehicle history files; </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ensure that maintenance and repairs of vehicle are carried out in an effective and cost-efficient manner; </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Whenever not in use, park the vehicle within the designated secure parking;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Upon request, assist in the procurement of vehicle spare parts: collect quotations, analyse prices of office items, prepare payment requests for local procurement of vehicle supplies;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Provide support services to project activities;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Provide logistical support to the organization and preparation of all project events;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Support in preparation of Travel Authorizations and requesting security clearances from UNDSS;  </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Assist the project staff in provision of office supplies and other necessary inputs; </span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Perform other related duties, as required. </span>

<span style="font-size:12px"><strong>CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING</strong></span>

<span style="font-size:12px"><strong>Minimum Requirements    </strong></span>

  • <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="line-height:115%">Secondary school education; </span></span></span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="line-height:115%">Possession of valid driver’s license;</span></span></span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="line-height:115%">Two years of work experience as a driver. Flawless, safe driving record;</span></span></span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="line-height:115%"><span style="line-height:115%">Good knowledge (level C) of Armenian. Fair knowledge (level A) of English;</span></span></span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">National of Armenia.</span>

  • <span style="font-size:12px">Good sense of direction and knowledge of local conditions;</span>
  • <span style="font-size:12px">Ability to cope with extended working hours.</span>
