Key Responsibilities:

Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to develop and support strategy for marketing that results in diversified and increased funds for World Vision Mongolia through proactive external engagement, sustaining meaningful donor experience, building donor trust and digital marketing. Identify effective and donor driven marketing activities and engagement and implement the planned activities to bring maximum return assuring wise stewardship.

Effective sponsor / donor acquisition and marketing planning and implementation

  • Ensure that the NRD strategic plan includes commitment to cultivate, serve and strengthen relationships with individual and corporate donors in Mongolia and abroad, especially as income supporters.
  • Identify and implement innovative ideas or initiatives to proactively engage and maintain relationships with individual and corporate donors within Mongolia and abroad that will result to funding support for WVIM.
  • Develop and maintain effective donor acquisition plan, which includes identifying target donors, acquisition channels and developing products to assure annual donor acquisition target is achieved.

Maintain long-term partnership with sponsors / donors and strengthen relationship with sponsors / donors and key stakeholders.

  • Network, build and manage relationships with individuals, corporations and other entities who are potential or current donors on continuous basis through in person meetings, letters, emails, newsletters, telephone calls, social media, website and other channels.
  • Intentionally build relationship externally and within the organization and manage effective partnership with key stakeholders to increase brand visibility among potential donors.
  • Continue to develop business and fundraising opportunities with NRD Department
  • Develop annual strategic and implementation plan for donor acquisition activities/campaigns/events/field visits.

Digital Marketing

  • Increase number of sponsors acquired digitally through developing and implementing digital marketing strategy and solutions and assure key metrics are measured on regular bases to improve digital marketing.
  • Support in digital marketing and sponsor engagement solutions to simplify process and increase efficiency.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor degree or its equivalent in the field of Marketing, Business Management, Sales or similar. Advanced computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
  • Proven experience in marketing, maintaining donors/sponsors relationship, , fundraising, event planning, CRM Databases, public speaking and presentation skills. Aware and able to develop donor mapping of corporates, individuals, influencers and opinion makers within Mongolia and abroad who can be approached for support.

  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work as a team and get along well with other people.
  • High passion and dedication to human beings, especially vulnerable children and people.
  • Proven ability to be organized and structured and to work effectively under pressure.
