Duties and Responsibilities The Division of Healthcare Management and Occupational Safety and Health (DHMOSH) provides expert healthcare management and in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) services to all UN Secretariat entities (Field missions, Offices Away from Headquarters and Economic Commissions), the New York based agencies funds and programs, as well as providing strategic leadership of whole-of-system medical issues through the UN Medical Directors Network. The Occupational Safety and Health Section oversees the collection of data in support of employment and travel clearances and reporting in relation to COVID-19 and other vaccinations. The Division needs aa individual contractor to:

- Prioritize incoming medical documents for review - Verify accuracy and completeness of submitted documents according to provided guidelines - Approve/reject documents - Categorize document type - Record document in the electronic medical record system

Qualifications/special skills- Communication: Speaks and writes clearly and effectively. Listens to others, correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately. Asks questions to clarify, and exhibits interest in having two-way communication. Tailors language, tone, style and format to match the audience. Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.

- Planning & Organizing: Develops clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies. Identifies priority activities and assignments; adjusts priorities as required. Allocates appropriate amount of time and resources for completing work. Foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning. Monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary. Uses time efficiently.

- Accountability: Takes ownership of all responsibilities and honours commitments. Delivers outputs for which one has responsibility within prescribed time, cost and quality standards. Operates in compliance with organizational regulations and rules. Supports subordinates, provides oversight and takes responsibility for delegated assignments. Takes personal responsibility for his/her own shortcomings and those of the work unit, where applicable.

- Technological Awareness: Takes ownership of all responsibilities and honours commitments. Delivers outputs for which one has responsibility within prescribed time, cost and quality standards. Skills: - Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a repetitive/high throughput tasks.

Academic Qualifications: - High school Diploma

Experience: - Experience working with electronic medical record systems. - Experience in reviewing medical documents.

Language: - Fluency in English is required - Working knowledge of French and other official official United Nations languages is desirable
