MDF have facilitated many projects in the country and is looking at setting up a rural fishing school in rural coastal village in Morobe Province (Papua New Guinea). The school will strive to educate the communities targeting a rural coastal village in Morobe Province.

Fishing school is identified as solution to support the community in sustaining their life as they rely on fish and MDF have secured a project to help this community to harvest and sell fish to make a living. This project will benefit MDF achieving its objective through its facilitating support in training for the community and will enable MDF to expand the school by securing donor support from external donors and provincial governments as a way forward for sustainable results for the rural coastal community in Morobe.

To that end, MDF requires the support of three online volunteers who can help in drafting a proposal to get funds to support in establishing a rural fishing school in a rural coastal community in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea.

MDF requires the support of three online volunteers who can help in drafting a proposal to get funds to support in establishing a rural fishing school in a rural coastal community in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The rural school will consist of ice maker powered by solar and a classroom and other starting equipment to help in the running and educating the rural communities.

The first volunteer will research for information and factual data and providing this information to the contact person for MDF and the second volunteer who will lead in writing and editing the proposal.

The third volunteer will edit the proposal and provide advice and recommendation to ensure the task is refined and ready for submission.

  • Must have a Degree in Fisheries
  • Must be able to draft a quality proposal
  • Must have background knowledge in Papua New Guinea
  • PhD students are encouraged to apply
