In Lebanon, WFP Lebanon provides humanitarian assistance to 1.4 million vulnerable people a month, in the form of unrestricted assistance in-kind and cash-based transfers. WFP supports as well Lebanese schools with school meals and also supports vulnerable households in protecting and improving their livelihoods through trainings and rehabilitation of local infrastructures. WFP also supports Lebanon’s National Poverty Targeting Programme, and Lebanon’s Emergency Crisis and COVID-19 Response Social Safety Net Project (ESSN)

CONTRAT DURATION

3 Months (Not renewable)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Under the overall supervision of the head of TEC or designated officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the below activities: • Support the development and implementation of Lebanon beneficiaries’ standard model in collaboration with country office and field offices focal points and adhere to the best practices of database development standards. • Follow data gathering and monitoring systems ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained. • Contribute to the documentation of the new standard model implementation and design. • Assist in transferring the data from the current database to the new standard model. • Contribute to the plan and deliver continuous improvement to data integration solutions, through the application of data management best practices in combination with data technology. • Develop and improve ETLs of the new standard model. • Set up and configure data sanity check and deduplications on the database to ensure data quality

DELIVERABLES By the end of the incumbent’s assignment the following should be completed: • Development of the new standard model. • Implementation if the new standard model for WFP identities management. • Configure and set up data sanity checks for all WFP identities records. • Contribute to the development of data transfer logics with external partners to the new standard model (UNHCR and NPTP). • Contribute to the implementation of Moda as part of standard model and contribute to development of modular approach for data transfer from moda to the standard model. • Develop wiki-style documentation of the data structures, processes and contribution and contribute to the unit’s documented knowledge base.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Education: Completion of secondary school education, university degree in Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and data sets.

Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French language is an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets • Build processes supporting data transformation and data structures • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases • Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python. • Experience with data pipeline and business intelligence tools: E.g. SSIS • Experience in git workflow
