OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME:

To provide technical support to the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Unit and the Center for Data and Information (Pusat Data dan Informasi (Pusdatin) of the Ministry of Health (MoH) to improve and accelerate data collection, analysis and reporting for COVID 19 vaccination. The COVID 19 Vaccination Data Assistant will be based in Jakarta.

SUMMARY OF ASSIGNED DUTIES:

Under the direct supervision of the COVID 19 Vaccination Coordinator and general guidance of the Medical Officer of the EPI Unit, the Incident Manager (IM) and WHO Representative to Indonesia (WR), and in collaboration with the MoH Subdirectorate of Immunization, Directorate of Surveillance and Health Quarantine, Directorate General of Diseases Prevention and Control as well as Pusdatin, the incumbent will:

  1. Assist the Director of Surveillance and Health Quarantine Directorate at the MoH for manual and electronic data collection and compilation from province and district levels.
  2. Support the MoH in COVID 19 vaccination coverage and analysis and development of news bulletins.
  3. Support the improvement of COVID 19 vaccination information system.
  4. In collaboration with the team of EPI and Surveillance Units of the MoH, assist in improving data quality and validation and verification.
  5. In collaboration with relevant team at the MoH, assist in providing training for provincial data managers to enhance their skills in data entry and analysis, as well as proper use of COVID 19 vaccination data.
  6. Facilitate timely and accurate submission of daily, weekly, monthly/quarterly and annual data to MoH and WHO.
  7. Maintain immunization database to secure all information and store updated data in MoH server and provide a back up in server management.
  8. Perform any ad hoc task as assigned by WR.
  9. Submit a detail final report at the end of the assignment.

Functional Knowledge and Skills:

Working knowledge of public health programme related data management.

Education Qualifications:

Essential:

A first degree level (Bachelor’s Degree) in Biostatistics/Public Health/relevant subjects from a recognized university/institution.

Desirable:

A Master Degree in Public Health or relevant subjects from a recognized university/institution.

Experience:

Essential:

At least two years of professional experience in managing public health programme related data, preferably in immunization, Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) surveillance and Early Warning Alert and Response System (EWARS).

Desirable:

At least four years of professional experience in managing public health programme related data, preferably in immunization, VPD surveillance and EWARS.

Languages:

Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

Other Skills (e.g. IT):

Work is performed in normal working environment.

Working knowledge on Microsoft Office applications (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), GIS software, EPI info, Stata, SPSS.

COVID-19 Vaccination Data Assistant, SSA, Level 3. In accordance with WHO Salary Scale for SSA (Level 3: 9,378,067 – 14,588,067 IDR)
