Result of Service A. Provide technical advice and concrete recommendations for action of the Global Programme on victimization; B. Support the organization of meetings, trainings and webinars of the Global Programme on Cybercrime backstopped at Headquarters; and C. Serve as a focal point of the Global Programme on Cybercrime with SHERLOC and complete the upload of new and pending cases and national legislation into SHERLOC.

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Cybercrime Programme Officer, the consultant will perform the following tasks:

1) Carry out legal research and analysis with a multi-disciplinary view on cybercrime issues with particular emphasis on victimization; 2) Perform legal research and upload onto SHERLOC legislative provisions or strategies and cases, including cases of international cooperation involving UNTOC as a legal basis, feeding into the Cybercrime Repository and the case law and legislation databases of SHERLOC; and 3) Support the implementation of the activities of the Global Programme on Cybercrime backstopped at Headquarters.

Qualifications/special skills An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminal justice, criminology, law, political science, management or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. - A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the area of crime prevention and criminal justice, including experience in victimization processes, is required. - Previous work experience in delivering technical advice, training or drafting substantive materials on victimization in complex crime schemes is required. - Work experience with databases, content management or knowledge network development is required. - Work experience in relation to criminal phenomena misusing the Internet and Communications Technologies is desirable. - Previous work experience with an international organization is desirable.

Languages - English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Fluency in Spanish is desirable. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
