Work Location Gaza

Expected duration 6 to 11 months

Duties and Responsibilities ¿ Provide support for existing dashboards and ETLs and apply changes if needed. ¿ Provide first-line support to active users of the current system and coordinate required changes with third parties ¿ Analyze new business requirements, provide possible solutions, and develop data models accordingly. ¿ Design and development of the Data warehouse dimensional model according to the provided business requirements ¿ Design and development for the OLAP Database using SSAS database objects. ¿ Oversee design and development for reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using MS Power BI. ¿ Build Analysis Services reporting models. ¿ Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards. ¿ Create technical documentation, training materials, and conduct training sessions when needed. ¿ Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly. ¿ Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications:

A university degree or master's degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;

Experience:

¿ A minimum of 4 years of experience for a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years for a master's degree in Microsoft SQL. ¿ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is highly desirable ¿ Previous experience as an ETL developer with strong data architecture knowledge around data warehousing concepts, SQL development and optimization, and operational support models. ¿ Experience with SQL Server databases as developer. ¿ Strong complex SQL knowledge; able to write and read as well as diagnose non performing complex SQL. ¿ Knowledge of indexing and explain plans.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

¿ A clear and familiar understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse ETL design ¿ Demonstrated expertise around the Microsoft SQL Server technologies (primarily SSIS). ¿ Proven understanding of SQL optimization (indexing and ability to interpret and act on execution plans).

Language:

¿ Good command of spoken and written English.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

  • The duration of the consultancy is 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
  • Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,490.30 USD and depend on the qualifications and relevant experience.
  • The incumbent will be based in Gaza.
