In 2021, the UNICEF Evaluation Office published the Formative Evaluation of UNICEF Work to Link Humanitarian and Development Programming.

How can you make a difference?

In an effort to ensure the findings and conclusions from this exercise are well publicized, the Evaluation Office is now looking to recruit an animator to create a two- to three-minute animated video that summarizes the evaluations key findings.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • An Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, Visual Communication, Film and Television Studies, or Communication Arts.
  • A minimum of [2 years] of relevant professional experience in video animation production.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Timeframe: The consultant is expected to commence working by 30 August 2021. The total length of the consultancy is based on project completion estimated at six weeks.

• CV, which should include up-to-date contact details of at least three reference persons. • Cover letter (2-page maximum) with the following information: • availability as per indicative timeline, and an outline of how the applicant(s) match the required skills and experience outlined in the terms of reference. • Daily rate in USD

Remarks:

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and advance to the next stage of the selection process.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
