Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

Visual imagery is a cornerstone of UNICEF’s brand, fundraising, advocacy, and communication. While digitalization and globalization have meant that people all over the world can experience UNICEF’s visual content -- including those who the content represents – it has never been harder or indeed more important to ensure that our visual identity is aligned with UNICEF’s core values.

The PFP Communication and Marketing Section provides UNICEF National Committees and fundraising country offices with guidance and technical support for their public outreach efforts, including individual donations, corporate engagement, and brand and communications. In the context of the latest movements, such as #BlackLivesMatter, UNICEF as an organization working for the rights of children, wants to be positioned as a leader at the forefront of protecting the rights of children, including their representation. How stories are told in communications is critical to the success of UNICEF’s communications, advocacy, brand, and fundraising efforts.

In this context, UNICEF wishes to use an audience and evidence-based approach:

  • to better understand emerging and relevant trends in communications when it comes to challenging representational topics such as malnutrition or extreme poverty.
  • to identify how UNICEF’s imagery is positioned in relation to its comparators and identify areas of opportunities for UNICEF communications to trigger support and donation while reinforcing UNICEF brand.
