As the world's leading child rights organization, UNICEF is mandated to respond to the needs of children in emergency situations as well as in development contexts, and to take measures to ensure their protection and future wellbeing. UNICEF Child Protection implements a wide range of programme actions, both preparedness and response, that depend on the timely and accurate collection of data and its secure and efficient management, storage and use. Child protection interventions such as gender-based violence (GBV), family tracing and reunification (FTR), social welfare systems strengthening, and the United Nations Security Council mandated monitoring and reporting mechanism (MRM) for grave violations committed against children in situations of armed conflict require sophisticated information management systems (IMS) to manage data for situation monitoring and for informing programmes.

For every child, a hope….
