Job Description

The Regional CAM Coordinator supports completion and submission of Affidavits of Relationship (AORs) under the Central American Minors (CAM) program, a family reunification program funded by the Department of State. The Regional CAM Coordinator will work with local resettlement offices and other partners to conduct community outreach to advertise the CAM AOR program, and file applications for eligible families. The Regional CAM Coordinator reports to the Senior Program Manager of IRC’s CAM Technical Assistance Project and works in collaboration with other regional coordinators and CAM Hotline staff.

Hiring for this position is contingent on funding.

Major Responsibilities

· Participate in training webinars on P2 CAM AORs, and IRC intake tools and submission guidelines.

· With support and direction of CAM Hotline/CAM Technical Assistance Project staff, conduct outreach to local partners to advertise the CAM program, including local resettlement affiliates, Ethnic Community-Based Organizations (ECBOs), legal service providers, and others connected to eligible communities.

· Communicate program eligibility and requirements to partners and clients; collect documentation from clients in order to complete AORs on their behalf.

· Complete AORs in the IRIS database; monitor case progress for updates and corrections needed.

· Maintain accurate and timely tracking of applications in order to provide data to funder and respond to client inquiries.

Internal: Local IRC office staff; RAI HQ colleagues

External: Local resettlement agency staff; community partners; clients

Job Requirements

· 1-2+ years of experience in refugee resettlement or immigration field; knowledge of the US resettlement program and family reunification pathways preferred.

· Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Adobe Pro; familiarity with IRIS a plus.

· Strong written and oral communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in English and Spanish. Spanish fluency required.

· Solid diplomatic and networking skills: the ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships.

· Multi-cultural sensitivity and ability to work as a member of a team.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines; strong attention to detail.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to alternate work locations within their state.

Working Environment:

This role requires a combination of working remotely (i.e., telecommuting) and working onsite at local resettlement offices, community centers, and other sites. Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace where they can effectively complete their work when working remotely. Applicants will be expected to travel within the state in their own vehicle, with mileage to be reimbursed.
