Result of Service The “CCAC Implementation Management Consultant” will work with implementing partners to ensure successful execution of CCAC projects, support CCAC project focal points in the management of CCAC projects through consultancy contracts, support reporting on implementation of CCAC projects for transparency/communication, and provide ad hoc support to other CCAC Secretariat efforts (such as reviewing applications for CCAC funding).

Duties and Responsibilities The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society.

The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the Secretariat at the Economy Division in Paris.

The CCAC Secretariat is seeking a “CCAC Implementation Management Consultant” to work with implementing partners to ensure successful execution of CCAC projects, to support CCAC project focal points in the management of CCAC projects through consultancy contracts, to support reporting on implementation of CCAC projects for transparency/communication, and ad hoc support to other CCAC Secretariat efforts (such as reviewing applications for CCAC funding).

Objectives: 1. Work with implementing partners to ensure successful implementation of CCAC projects - Review and provide advice to implementing partners on implementation plans and detailed budgets - Cross-check projects with CCAC-approved project proposals - Liaise with implementing partners to ensure contractual arrangements follow standard practices and are in line with CCAC project guidelines and the UN rules and regulations - Support CCAC project managers in the semi-annual and annual reporting cycle, ensuring quality and timely delivery of substantive and financial reports by implementing partners - Other ad hoc related tasks

2. Support CCAC project managers in the implementation of CCAC projects through consultancy contracts - Cross-check projects with CCAC-approved project proposals

3. Support reporting on implementation of CCAC projects for transparency/communication - Draft project information to upload on the CCAC website - Translate project reporting to information suitable for publication on CCAC website - Support the development of the CCAC Annual Report, based on project reporting - Prepare draft updates for the CCAC Board, Annual Meeting and other governance bodies

4. Ad hoc support to other CCAC Secretariat teamwork - Review applications for CCAC funding - Providing substantive briefings for new CCAC implementers - Participating in project management meetings - Preparing guidance materials and presentations for reference - Preparing draft reports on CCAC project implementation

Qualifications/special skills- Advanced university degree related to international relations, development, law, project management, or a related field is required - Undergraduate degree in one of these fields with additional relevant experience may be accepted - A minimum of 4 years of professional experience is required - Project management experience is required - Knowledge of air quality, climate change or sustainable development issues is desirable - Some experience in the UN system organizations and/or a developing country is desirable

Languages- Fluency in English (written and oral) is required - Additional knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset

Additional Information International travel may be required for this consultancy.
