Zimbabwe is among 26 countries globally selected to participate in the UNPRPD Round 4 Inception Phase processes which includes 3 main stages; a Situation Analysis on Persons with Disabilities (being finalized), UNPRPD Induction Training workshop for key stakeholders (conducted in May & June 2021)) and the drafting of a full-fledged UNPRPD Round 4 proposal with identified national priorities agreed on by the United Nation country Team and national stakeholders to advance disability-inclusion. **TIMEFRAME AND DELIVERABLES** ------------------------------ Overall, the UNPRPD global initiative seeks to support countries to advance a rights-based approaches to disability, as detailed in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and its associated protocol. Bringing together different UN entities, governments, persons with disabilities and civil society for the purpose of supporting joint programming and partnerships, the UNPRPD works through three strategic approaches: catalytic program funding, knowledge management and context relevant capacity building to support inclusive systems and policies. Long Description ---------------- In view of the above, UNESCO Regional Office for Southern Africa on behalf of the Zimbabwe UNPRPD Round 4 project team and UN Resident Coordinators Office, is seeking a Consultant to support the team in finalizing the Monitoring an Evaluation component as well as ensuring its alignment to the overall Full Fledged Proposal template guidelines. **OBJECTIVES AND MAIN TASKS OF ASSIGNMENT** -------------------------------------------- This Call for a disability inclusion Monitoring & Evaluation expert is specifically related to supporting and advising the Zimbabwe UNPRPD Round 4 Full-fledged proposal writing processes. The main assignment and tasks of the consultant shall include the following specific tasks and activities: (i) Attend the UNPRPD Round 4 Project Drafting Team dialogue meetings (online) to understand and get a common understanding of the agreed project proposal priorities of the full-fledged proposal writing processes, as per guidance received from the UNPRPD Secretariat. (ii) Support the UNPRPD project team to review the UNPRPD Secretariat’s guidelines in drafting the full-fledged proposal and assist to define and draft the required monitoring & evaluation indicators/components. (iii) Support the team to review and finalize the overall project proposal to ensure that the priorities and the result framework, are clearly articulated, consistent, and translated in the monitoring and evaluation framework, in accordance to all the guidance and feedback received from the UNPRPD Secretariat. **IV. TIMEFRAME AND DELIVERABLES** ----------------------------------- The above-mentioned tasks are to be undertaken within a period of 30 days from the date of signature of the contract.
