JOB PURPOSE

To initiate new retail system with suppliers of agricultural tools as part of a livelihoods project.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of the Head of Supply Chain/Retail Unit or his/her designate, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Support the contracting process of retailers in support of the livelihood project and regular retail programme; • Assist in the execution of retail shop selection duties and administrative work; • Assist in the preparation and execution of documents in accordance with WFP policies; • Assist in the creation of a complete archiving system both physical and digitalized, for the contract selection/assessments/evaluation processes; • Assist in following up with shops regarding compliance of contractual terms; • Respond to shops enquires received through the shops’ hotline; registering and tracking each call or email during the hotline working hours; • Handle all incoming correspondence with shops through email, document and follow up all queries or complaints; • Support data analysis on purchases and make recommendations on how to improve support provided to beneficiaries and maximize cost-efficiency in the supply chain; • Support the retail unit in the implementation of any new initiative of business priority; • Perform other related tasks as requested.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field is a plus.

Experience: At least four (4) years of progressive experience in Retail, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, Data Management or other related field.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic languages.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

• Good communication and collaboration skills • Knowledge of retail sector and/or supply chain • Good knowledge of data management and analysis • Good understanding of procurement processes • Good knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point
