USAID Bangladesh requires the services of a Communication and Knowledge Management (CKM) Specialist based in Dhaka, to ensure that Mission’s Humanitarian Assistance Office (HAO)’s objectives for disaster assistance, risk reduction, strategic reporting, interagency coordination, and situational analysis are met for the Rohingya refugee response, and early recovery, risk reduction and resilience activities in Bangladesh.
This position resides in USAID/Bangladesh’s HAO and will support knowledge management and communication initiatives of the portfolio. In coordination with the BHA/Bangladesh HAO Office Director and Deputy Director, the CKM Specialist will support communication and knowledge management needs of office, technical, and operational/project management activities within HAO.
To respond to the high communication and information demand, the incumbent shall provide communication and knowledge management support to the HAO team for all activities regarding early recovery, disaster risk reduction, resilience, and emergency, including the Rohingya Response. Duties will include providing office support in drafting, reviewing, editing and distributing HAO communication documents, reports and social media products generated by HAO or their implementing partners. The Humanitarian CKM Specialist will assist HAO in areas of communication and messaging to frame them within humanitarian principles and guidelines.
