ASYCUDA Functional Expert
Result of Service The consultant will contribute to UNCTAD efforts in strengthening capacity of MALI Customs to the ASYCUDA system with enhanced functionnalities.

Expected duration Contract Duration: 13 August to 12 December 2022 Effective working time: 4 months Place of work: Bamako
Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the ASYCUDA regional coordinator based in Geneva, the consultant will have to:
Assist the National team for the launch of the Offence module based on declarations (13 August to 12 September 2022) 1. Test and validate the offence module based on declaration 2. Prepare user training guidelines 3. Deliver training to end-users 4. Assist the National team during the launch of the module 5. Report to the ASYCUDA IT expert in case of problems 6. Propose improvements if needed
Assist the National team for the Offence module based on accounting transactions (13 September to 12 October 2022) 1. Prepare functional specification on new module 2. Test and validate the offence module for accounting transactions 3. Prepare user training guidelines 4. Deliver training to end-users 5. Assist the National team during the launch of the module 6. Report to the ASYCUDA IT expert in case of problems 7. Propose improvements if needed
Assist the National team for the Report of finding of the Offence module (13 October to 12 November 2022) 1. Prepare functional specification on new module 2. Test and validate the report of finding 3. Prepare user training guidelines 4. Deliver training to end-users 5. Assist the National team during the launch of the module 6. Report to the ASYCUDA IT expert in case of problems 7. Propose improvements if needed
Dematerialization of the management of customs deposits and auctions (13 November to 12 December 2022) 1. Prepare functional specification on new module 2. Test and validate the customs deposits and auctions module 3. Prepare user training guidelines 4. Deliver training to end-users 5. Assist the National team during the launch of the module 6. Report to the ASYCUDA IT expert in case of problems 7. Propose improvements if needed
He will liaise frequently with the Geneva Central Team and draw up a written report for the regional coordinator.
Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: An advanced university degree, Master, or equivalent in IT, Customs or Management. Experience: At least 10 years of work experience in Customs. Experience working in an international organization work environment and working with the ASYCUDA Programme is an asset. Language: Fluency oral and written in French is required
