Result of Service Produce PSDP introductory animator video

Work Location Beirut

Expected duration Two weeks

Duties and Responsibilities Under the general guidance of the PSDP coordination team and the PSDP Participating UN Organizations, the video animator will be responsible of the following:

  • Meet with the team to understand the narrative and get accurate data/ design direction to be used for the animation.
  • Develop an overall proposal for the production of the animated video, i.e. develop two to three design options for the animated video, for the team's review and approval before proceeding with the story board;
  • Develop a script of the video;
  • Develop detailed story board concept(s), including respective illustrations;
  • Design animation as per approved script and requirements determined by and agreed upon with the PSDP team, including the sound, editing, narration, subtitling, dubbing etc.
  • Include voice-over and subtitling.
  • Provide a draft of the Arabic animated video for review and comments;
  • Finalize the animated video based on feedback.
  • Complete an adaptation of the Arabic animated video with English subtitles, based on the approved Arabic animation and the Arabic script to be provided by PSDP team. PSDP team to include French subtitles.
  • Deliver original artwork and video files as final products to the PSDP.

    Qualifications/special skills Skills: Demonstrated competency with developing and producing video animations and infographics for video infomercials is desirable. Strong creativity and imagination and strong drawing skills is desirable. Computer literacy and familiarity with graphics software is desirable. Strong communication and presentation skills is desirable. Ability to meet tight deadlines and provide high-quality deliverables is desirable. Academic Qualifications: Master's degree in graphic design, and/or advertising and marketing is required. Experience: 10 years experience in producing animated videos is required. Producing animated videos for UN entities is desirable. Modern production equipment and qualified creative personnel capable of designing creative concepts with guidance from the PSDP Coordinator is desirable. Usage of latest high-quality animation software is desirable. Language: Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is required.
