Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

As a member for the Award Finance support team, the Analyst assist the Director, awards financial support and reporting in managing all financial aspects of the post-award process for all award funded projects for his/her portfolio.

This position supports the director in coordinating compliance with IRC’s finance policies and procedures, best practices, GAAP and applicable donor regulations and agreement terms.

S/he will work closely with the field based DDFs, RFDs, as well as regional AMU staff.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Awards Financial Management

· Assist the director to implement consistent processes governing the sound management and analytics of the pre-award and post award processes ensuring sound financial stewardship of these resources and in compliance with the appropriate donor requirements.

· Ensure that all fiscal matters are current relating to his/her public donor portfolio, including federal, state, other public and private awards, and related external support awards are handled in accordance with applicable donor regulations such as the OMB Circular, United Nations, European Union (PRAG & FPA), DFID/FCDO, and private foundations.

· Prepare quarterly analytics report to the Director on awards performance measurements along with recommendations which will improve performance and minimize errors.

Donor Agreements, Reporting and M****onitoring

· Keep current on all public resource funding regulations and accounting updates that affect donor reporting.

· Prepare US Government financial reports (form SF425) and SF272 for his/her portfolio.

· Ensure other reports are submitted on time (inventory and assets disposal and VAT reports).

· Prepare and submit donor financial reports for other donors in HQ

· Posting and reconciling financial reports for sub-grantees in Integra

· Review and activate new grants in Integra

· Review and upload Integra budget templates for HQ TU grants.

R****EQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.

· Approximately 2-3 years of progressive financial awards management experience in the non-profit sector.

· Previous work experience in a multi-cultural international environment is highly desirable.

· Demonstrated familiarity with GAAP and shown general knowledge of Fund Accounting.

· Previous work experience with a major general ledger software package – experience with MS D365 preferred.

· Confirmed knowledge of US Government and European Union regulations.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment and diplomatically manage collegial relationships.

· Solid organizational skills: the ability to be flexible and perform under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

· Ability to recognize the need to elevate advanced support requests to the appropriate team members.

· Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment & independently and ability to meet unexpected demands.

· Strong digital literacy: facility with MS Word, Excel, various accounting software, and email/internet software.
