Contract

This is a Internship contract. It usually requires 0 years of experience, depending on education. More about Internship contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

How can you make a difference?

Located in Geneva, Switzerland, the Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECARO) coordinates and supervises UNICEF’s work in 22 countries and territories[1], to ensure that no child is left out in our efforts to realize their rights

The Regional Office serves as a mechanism of guidance, support, oversight and coordination of country offices within the region. It provides trend analysis of commonalities and diversities, flexibility to manage resources within the region to support individual countries. The Regional Office is the key facilitator of peer review and exchange among UNICEF offices within each region so that decisions at country and regional level are informed by the rich experiences and draw on the capabilities of UNICEF staff and partners

The Partnerships team works with country offices to ensure that they are fully equipped and empowered to mobilize public donors, individuals, key influencers and businesses to support, promote and respect the rights of every child around the world. We are working to create an enabling environment to work with the public donors and private sector (business, business networks, industries, foundations, philanthropists, individual supporters), both in terms of fundraising as well as on non-financial engagement (contributing to achieve UNICEF programme results). We provide tools, policies and guidance, conduct capacity-building for staff, and provide timely and constructive technical support.

Business 4 Results

“Business 4 Results” is a UNICEF- initiative, launched in 2019, aiming to reposition business as a key stakeholder in our global agenda for children, aiming to mainstream private sector engagement into our strategy and operations. Business is a key stakeholder, indispensable to achieving the SDGs. The private sector plays an instrumental role not only in terms of mobilizing financial resources, but also in driving the work around innovations and skills building necessary to accelerate progress and implementation of the 2030 Agenda. SDG 17 is a dedicated area for partnership in and of itself, and it recognizes the value of creating networks and building partnerships with new stakeholder. In the same way as we look to government partners to help facilitate and implement programmes, we can look to partnerships with business to leverage the agenda for children, through advocacy, policies and practices, contribution to programme innovations, alliances and networks with the business sector, including chambers of commerce and other influencers in this space.

We are seeking a motivated individual who would like to join the team and help turn current challenges and brilliant ideas into actual change. We value young talent and are looking for a dynamic professional who is a fast-learner, a team player, and is proactive, resourceful and keen to learn.
